CARMEL BIRD

After graduating with an Education degree from Leeds, Carmel studied Drama as a mature student at the University of Chester working with all aspects of practical theatre.

She went on to perform professionally, subsequently touring universities to perform and lead workshops.

Carmel has acted in, directed and choreographed over 150 productions. Her wide variety of theatrical experience ranges from Shakespeare through to modern drama, farce & popular musical theatre.

Carmel has always had a strong commitment to youth theatre and as well as teaching A' Level drama she has directed and choreographed productions for young adults. She has also worked for local and national drama schools teaching infant & junior classes.

Carmel is a Drama Adjudicator for the Greater Manchester Drama Federation and adjudicates both

full length and one act festivals.

GEOFF BIRD

Geoff is a writer and has been involved in theatre for over forty years.

As well as acting and directing, he has worked with junior and youth groups since 2001.

His experience in stage management, set design and lighting is invaluable to the Theatre School.
